CCTV Operator

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring: Operate and monitor CCTV equipment, ensuring all cameras are functioning correctly and coverage is comprehensive.
  2. Surveillance: Observe live and recorded video feeds, identifying and responding to suspicious activities or security breaches.
  3. Incident Response: Promptly report and document any security incidents, breaches, or unusual activities to the appropriate authorities or security personnel.
  4. Recording Management: Manage and archive CCTV footage, ensuring recordings are stored securely and can be retrieved when necessary.
  5. Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and maintenance of CCTV equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the relevant department.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with security personnel and law enforcement agencies to provide evidence and support investigations.
  7. Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports of incidents, including time-stamped video evidence, and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
  8. Compliance: Ensure all CCTV operations comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding surveillance and privacy.
  9. Training: Stay updated on the latest security and surveillance technologies and practices. Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills.
  10. Emergency Response: Assist in coordinating emergency responses by providing real-time information and support to security teams.



Skills

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in security or a related field is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a similar surveillance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain focused for extended periods.
