Infinite Sports is home to top UAE home-grown sports academies including IJF Academy, It’s Just Cricket, AbsoluteGymnastics & Absolute Swimming. Infinite Active provides affordable before and after-school care for working parents. Active is currently within 2 schools and catering for 90 children a day with the view to offering this service to further schools. The program currently offers a variety of activities such as physical literacy, creative thinking, and arts & crafts.

 

Infinite Camps is our holiday program which currently operates within 7 venues and caters for 150 children (agedbetween 4 and 11) a day during the school holidays. The Camps program offers a variety of activities based around multi-sports as well as arts & crafts.

 

Job Overview

As the Swimming teacher at Infinite Sports/ Absolute Sports, you will be responsible for the planning, delivery, and coordination of our swimming programme. You will ensure the safe provision of lessons, motivate participants, and promote a positive learning environment. With your expertise and enthusiasm, you will inspire swimmers to reach their full potential while adhering to safety standards and lesson plans.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Team Management:

Provide leadership, direction, and support to the swim coaching team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence in coaching.

2. Programme Development:

Develop and implement comprehensive swimming programmes for various skill levels and age groups, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Continuously evaluate and refine programme offerings to enhance participant experience and meet the evolving needs of our community.

3. Coaching and Instruction:

Oversee the planning and delivery of coaching sessions, ensuring adherence to established curriculum, teaching methodologies, and safety protocols.

Provide hands-on coaching and instruction to participants, focusing on technique, skill development, and performance improvement.

4. Safety and Risk Management:

Ensure the safety and well-being of participants and staff during all coaching sessions and activities.

Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and emergency drills to mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

5. Participant Engagement and Progression:

Assess participants' abilities and provide individualized feedback and guidance to support their development and progression.

Implement strategies to motivate and engage participants, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate regularly with participants, parents, staff, and stakeholders, providing updates on programme activities, progress, and opportunities.

Collaborate with the management team to promote the swimming programme, recruit new participants, and support overall business objectives.

7. Taking Initiative and Supporting PE Staff:

Demonstrate proactive initiative in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance administrative processes.

Provide support to Physical Education (PE) staff by assisting with swim teaching and coordinating related administrative tasks.

8. Reporting: 

The swimming teacher is responsible to report to Swim Lead Coach– Infinite Sports LLC/ Absolute Sports LLC.

Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with members and participants.

·       Confidentiality:

Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information related to members, staff, and organizational matters.

·       Confidence and Relationship Development:

Confidently engages with members and participants, fostering positive relationships and creating a welcoming environment for all.

·       Excellent Time Management:

Demonstrates strong time management skills to plan and coordinate swimming sessions efficiently, maximizing productivity and participant engagement.

·       Effective Communication:

Communicates clearly and effectively with members, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed and engaged in the swimming programme's activities and developments.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

·       Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teachers award or internationally recognized equivalent.

·       EIAC Lifeguarding qualification or ability to complete within 3 months.

·       DCAS First Aid qualification or ability to complete within 3 months.

·       Minimum of 2 years of swimming teaching experience with children and adults.

 

Desirable:

·       Additional aquatic discipline qualifications (e.g., Adult & Child, Pre-School, Aqua Therapy, Water Polo/Artistic Swimming).

·       Experience working in a high-end members-based fitness centre and developing a swim membership base.

Working Hours:

48 Hours across 6 days per week.
