Role Description The Senior Electrical MEP Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi. This role involves leading the electrical MEP design, coordination, and implementation for smart metering and utility management projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications, codes, and client requirements. Daily responsibilities include reviewing drawings and technical documents, performing load calculations, coordinating with mechanical and plumbing disciplines, and overseeing installation and commissioning activities. The engineer will manage project schedules and budgets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, support tender and proposal development, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. The role also requires close communication with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with the ability to integrate and coordinate multidisciplinary building services.
• Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills, including power distribution, control systems, and electrical design for commercial, industrial, or utility projects.
• Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing skills related to HVAC, piping, and water systems, and understand their interaction with electrical and metering solutions.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination across multiple concurrent projects.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, specialized MEP credentials) are beneficial.
• Experience in smart metering, IoT-based utility management, or smart city infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in MEP design and coordination tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
