About the Role:

EGEC is expanding its engineering team in our Cairo Branch (Haram, Giza) and is actively looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Shop Drawing Engineer with proven expertise in electrical detailing, BIM workflows, and multidisciplinary MEP coordination for high-profile regional and KSA projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver fully coordinated electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, and containment routing.

• Produce builder’s work drawings and resolve clashes across architectural, structural, and mechanical systems.

• Ensure all shop drawings comply with project specifications, design intents, and local/Gulf building codes (SBC, IEC, NEC).

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (BOQ support) and material submittals review where needed.

• Coordinate effectively with site teams, project managers, and lead consultants to meet milestone deadlines.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Experience: 8 to 10 years of professional experience in electrical shop drawings and MEP coordination (engineering consultancy or leading main contractor background).

• Software Proficiency: Advanced mastery of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks (clash detection & coordination).

• Technical Skills: Extensive hands-on knowledge in power distribution, indoor/outdoor lighting, earthing & lightning protection, and Low-Current / ELV routing.

• Regional Exposure: Prior experience working on KSA projects is highly preferred.

• Availability: Candidates with immediate availability or short notice periods will be given priority.
