Job Summary
The Technical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing technical designs, calculations, equipment selections, layouts, drawings, and technical documentation for industrial refrigeration and cold storage projects.
The position will work closely with the Engineering, Sales, Procurement, and Project Management teams to ensure that designs are technically sound, commercially practical, and suitable for installation and operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design
Develop technical designs for industrial refrigeration and cold storage systems.
Prepare refrigeration system concepts based on project requirements and operating conditions.
Perform refrigeration load calculations and equipment sizing.
Select compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and other refrigeration components.
Develop refrigeration system layouts, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams.
Prepare equipment schedules and technical specifications.
Design refrigeration piping systems and determine pipe sizes.
Engineering Documentation
Prepare detailed technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Review supplier drawings and technical submittals.
Prepare equipment datasheets and technical specifications.
Requirements
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Power Engineering.
2+ years of experience in mechanical design or industrial refrigeration.
Experience in industrial refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial projects is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles.
Good knowledge of refrigeration equipment and components.
Experience with ammonia (NH₃) refrigeration is a strong advantage.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
Experience with engineering/design software is preferred.
Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
