Role Description

The Electrical BIM Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing detailed BIM models for electrical systems within building projects, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and compliance with project standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating electrical layouts, panel schedules, cable routing, and related construction drawings, as well as coordinating with architecture, civil, and MEP teams to resolve clashes and design issues. The role involves collaborating with project stakeholders, supporting model reviews, and maintaining documentation and version control. This is a full-time position based in Giza, offered as a hybrid role with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and related BIM software tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Electrical BIM / MEP projects.
• Fluent in English is must.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience in developing Power, Lighting, Containment, and ELV/Low Current BIM models.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, design principles, and MEP coordination.
• Experience in clash detection, multidisciplinary coordination, and resolving model conflicts.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and project-specific modeling guidelines.
• Ability to prepare shop drawings, coordinated drawings, schedules, and quantity take-offs from BIM models.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and coordinated BIM models.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and within multidisciplinary project teams.
• BIM certification or relevant training is a plus.
• Experience with industry-standard BIM platforms (e.g., Revit or similar) and CAD tools.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work within deadlines, and effective communication skills for team collaboration.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment and comfort with digital collaboration and documentation tools.
