Hire Pals is hiring on behalf of the leading international architecture and engineering consultancy - SSH looking for a Lead Landscape Architect - Infrastructure to join our team and lead complex technical production across major regional developments.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing Infrastructure team. Working under the direct supervision of the Discipline Lead – Landscape, you will lead landscape design teams in the delivery of complex, large-scale infrastructure and public realm projects.

In this role, you will plan, organize, coordinate, and manage landscape design activities through all project stages from concept to construction ensuring design excellence, technical compliance, and seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Technical Quality

• Lead landscape design teams throughout concept, schematic, detailed design, tender, and construction stages.
• Direct the development of innovative and sustainable landscape solutions for infrastructure projects.
• Oversee the preparation and review of landscape masterplans, hardscape, softscape, irrigation, and public realm designs.
• Ensure all design deliverables meet project objectives, client requirements, and company quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with SSH standards, local regulations, international codes, and industry best practices.
• Conduct technical reviews, quality checks, design reviews, and value engineering initiatives across all project deliverables.

Project Management & Coordination

• Act as the primary focal point for landscape design matters within assigned projects.
• Manage project resources, schedules, and design deliverables to ensure timely project execution.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve design-related issues.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, transportation, utilities, architecture, environmental, and BIM disciplines.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the client's primary point of contact for landscape design matters.
• Lead client presentations, workshops, and design review meetings.
• Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership, Mentorship & People Operations

• Mentor, coach, and develop junior landscape architects and designers.
• Support team performance management, professional growth, and continuous technical development.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and firm-wide continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in recruitment and resource planning activities when required.

BIM & Digital Design Integration

• Support BIM implementation and digital design integration across all projects.
• Ensure strict compliance with project BIM execution plans and company digital standards.
• Promote efficient design workflows and adopt innovative technologies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (or equivalent).
• 10–15 years of progressive experience in landscape architecture, with a proven track record of leading large-scale infrastructure and public realm projects.
• High proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Familiarity with digital design workflows.
• Strong team management, mentoring, and project leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional client-facing presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
