Job Details

  • Product Cost Estimation & BOM Structuring: Calculate comprehensive product standard costs for new and existing products, analyzing engineering drawings to establish precise Bill of Materials (BOM), raw material consumption, scrap percentages, and packaging costs.

  • Manufacturing Rate & Machine Hour Costing: Calculate and update machine-hour rates, labor rates, and manufacturing overhead allocations based on plant capacity utilization, electrical power tariffs, and maintenance costs.

  • Time Study & Cycle Time Cost Integration: Partner with Production and Industrial Engineers to integrate time-and-motion studies, standard cycle times, and changeover durations into labor and operational costing calculations.

  • New Project Quotations & Feasibility Studies: Prepare accurate cost estimations and technical commercial price quotes for new OEM/automotive and industrial client tenders; assess capital expenditure (CAPEX) for new dies, molds, and tooling.

  • Variance Analysis (Standard vs. Actual): Conduct regular manufacturing cost variance analyses, identifying and explaining root causes for material usage variances (MUV), price variances (PPV), labor efficiency variances, and scrap spikes.

  • Value Engineering (VA/VE) & Cost Reduction: Lead and support cross-functional Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects with Engineering and Procurement to optimize material utilization, reduce cycle times, and eliminate manufacturing waste.

  • Scrap, Rework & Downtime Financial Impact: Quantify the financial impact of machine downtime, production rework, and material scrap in proportion to operating costs; present actionable loss reports to Plant Management.

  • ERP Costing Maintenance & Inventory Valuation: Maintain and update standard cost tables, routing work centers, and cost roll-ups within the plant ERP system (SAP/Oracle), supporting accurate month-end work-in-progress (WIP) and inventory valuation.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with extensive industrial manufacturing experience.

  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven cost engineering, cost estimation, or industrial financial controlling experience in an automotive, tooling, plastics, or discrete manufacturing facility.

  • Technical & Costing Mastery: Deep expertise in industrial manufacturing processes (sheet metal stamping, tooling/dies, plastic injection molding, assembly), activity-based costing (ABC), and standard costing methodologies.

  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical capability in evaluating complex BOMs, scrap rate curves, cycle time economies, machine depreciation, and contribution margin models.

  • Software & ERP Proficiency: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel (advanced financial modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions, macros) and practical working experience with ERP costing modules (SAP CO/PP, Oracle, or equivalent).

  • Communication & Cross-Functional Teamwork: Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial/engineering concepts to plant managers and corporate executives.
