Job Objective 

The plasma processor processes both units and samples for initial freezing; packs plasma for final shipment; packs samples for shipment to testing lab; assists in shipping both samples and units; and maintains area equipment and supplies. Environment Internal: Donor Center Management and Medical staff. External: donors, patient groups, auditors, and community and neighborhood organizations. Key responsibility Collects and processes donor samples for processing and testing. Labels samples and freezes units for final packing within required timeframe. Participates in unit management according to SOP. Packs units for final shipment; packs samples and prepares shipping box to send samples to the testing lab. Monitors stored product to ensure time requirements are met. Monitors and reports working conditions of equipment. For all affected in-house units, the Plasma Processor should pull all affected units and corresponding customer and backup samples from their cases in the freezer and from cases in GNS under full supervision of the CM/COM. Plasma Processor should place all affected units and corresponding customer samples in a secured biowaste container under full supervision of the CM/COM. Maintains active communication with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality. Completes all necessary documentation. Ensures donor confidentiality. Builds rapport with donors to ensure overall satisfaction with the center to support long-term donation. Learns and maintains thorough familiarity and compliance with all local competent authority regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and internal company procedures. Maintains supplies necessary to perform job duties. Reports all unsafe working situations or conditions to area lead, supervisor or manager. Computing Skills MS Office knowledge preferred but not required. Personal Skills MS Office knowledge preferred but not required. Communication and customer service skills. Organized and able to manage time effectively. Ability to work within a highly regulated, labor intensive, fast paced medical environment. Ability to understand and follow SOP's and protocols. Languages Written and spoken English and Arabic.

Academic experience required Science, Nurse or Health Technical Institute graduate or equivalent. Professional Experience Required Typically requires no related experience.
