Role Description The Local Procurement Specialist – Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing construction-related materials, equipment, and services from local suppliers to support ongoing projects. The specialist will issue and manage purchase orders, coordinate with project and site teams to understand requirements, and ensure timely delivery of goods in line with project schedules and quality standards. Daily activities include evaluating and onboarding suppliers, obtaining and comparing quotes, negotiating contract terms and pricing, and maintaining accurate records of procurement activities. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, resolving delivery or quality issues, and collaborating with finance and logistics to ensure compliance with company policies and budget controls.
Qualifications

Strong procurement background with demonstrated experience in Procurement and managing Purchase Orders for construction projects. Proficiency in Supplier Evaluation, including assessing supplier capabilities, pricing, reliability, and compliance with company standards. Experience in Contract Negotiation, with the ability to secure favorable terms, manage risks, and maintain positive supplier relationships. Solid Analytical Skills to compare bids, analyze cost structures, and support data-driven purchasing decisions. Previous experience in local construction or utilities procurement is highly beneficial. Familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems and basic knowledge of contract and commercial law. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
