We are currently supporting a confidential executive search for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance agenda in Egypt for a leading multinational organization with 35,000+ employees across multiple countries.
This is a highly senior executive leadership position, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across the Egypt business and partnering with the CEO, executive leadership team and key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth, profitability and long-term value creation. The CFO will oversee the overall finance function and play a critical role in shaping business strategy, financial performance, governance, transformation and investment decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall Finance function in Egypt, providing strategic direction and executive leadership. Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise-wide business decisions. Provide oversight of financial performance across the organization, including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and working capital. Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes. Drive financial strategy in alignment with the organization's overall business and growth objectives. Provide the Executive Leadership Team and Board / relevant governance bodies with clear, insightful and actionable financial analysis. Oversee FP&A, Controllership, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Reporting and Finance Operations. Establish strong financial governance, controls, risk management and compliance frameworks. Lead financial transformation and drive improvements in finance effectiveness, efficiency and digitalization. Evaluate major investments, business cases, commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives. Partner with business leaders across multiple verticals and functions to improve profitability, productivity and financial performance. Drive working capital optimization, cash management and capital allocation. Ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, regulators and other key external stakeholders. Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance leadership team. Champion a culture of accountability, commercial thinking, performance and continuous improvement across the finance organization. Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide proactive recommendations to senior leadership.
Ideal Profile18+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience in senior finance leadership positions. Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director or equivalent enterprise-level finance leader within a large multinational, regional or complex organization. Strong track record of leading finance across multiple business units, verticals or complex operating environments. Extensive experience across P&L management, FP&A, accounting, controllership, treasury, tax, governance and financial strategy. Strong commercial and strategic acumen with the ability to connect financial performance to broader business strategy. Proven experience partnering with CEOs, Boards, Executive Committees and senior business leadership. Strong track record in business transformation, finance transformation and organizational change. Deep understanding of financial governance, risk management, compliance and internal controls. Strong experience in driving profitability, cash generation, cost optimization and sustainable growth. Excellent leadership capabilities with experience building and developing large, high-performing finance organizations. Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills at executive level. Experience operating within a multinational and/or multi-country environment is highly preferred. Professional finance qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is highly preferred. Location Cairo, Egypt
