Role Description The Interior Design Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for coordinating and supervising the execution of interior design projects. This role includes reviewing design drawings and specifications, translating them into clear site instructions, and ensuring that all work is completed according to design intent, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Interior Design Site Engineer will oversee contractors and vendors, manage daily site activities, track progress against timelines, and report on project status to designers and management. Additional responsibilities include resolving technical issues on site, performing quality checks, verifying materials and finishes, and collaborating with the design team to implement any required adjustments. The role also involves participating in site meetings, documenting work completed, and supporting efficient handover of finished spaces. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong technical skills in reading and interpreting architectural and interior design drawings, construction details, and specifications. Candidates should possess skills in site supervision, project coordination, and quality control for interior fit-out works. Candidates should possess skills in communication and collaboration, including the ability to work effectively with designers, contractors, suppliers, and clients. Candidates should possess skills in time management, problem-solving, and decision-making to handle daily site challenges and meet deadlines. Candidates should possess familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, such as Auto CAD, design documentation tools, and basic project management applications. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in interior site engineering, fit-out, or construction supervision is highly beneficial. Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly materials and practices, as well as local building codes and safety regulations, is advantageous.
