· Identify and penetrate new international markets to expand global retail, wholesale, and distribution footprints.
· Build an active network of international importers, distributors, supermarkets, and B2B buyers.
· Represent the company at global food and agriculture exhibitions.
· Develop annual export sales plans, setting strategic volume and revenue benchmarks approved by executive management.
· Formulate commercial pricing frameworks that accommodate volatile shipping costs, customs, and currency changes while maintaining margins.
· Track team performance KPIs, providing routine market coverage analysis and competitor updates to leadership.
· Ensure alignment with agricultural quality standards and food safety certifications (e.g., GlobalG.A.P., BRCGS, HACCP, ISO).
· Coordinate logistical frameworks including freight forwarding contracts, customs clearance, and optimal cold-chain shipping structures.
· Manage financial export protocols, supervising letters of credit (L/Cs), open accounts, cash against documents (CAD), and trade financing.
Requirements
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Agriculture, Business Administration, or a closely related commercial field. An MBA is a plus.
· 5+ years of direct experience in export sales within the agriculture, FMCG, or food processing sectors.
· Proven leadership history with at least 2 years managing a dedicated commercial or export sales team.
· In-depth knowledge of global trade protocols, including active Incoterms, international maritime logistics, and cold chain handling.
· Strong existing book of business or an established network of buyers in regional target markets (e.g., Europe, GCC, Africa, or Asia).
· Fluency in English is required; command of a secondary target market language (e.g., French, Spanish, or Arabic) is highly preferred.
· Willingness to travel frequently internationally to interface with key distribution accounts.
