Field Service/Support Engineer: Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. This position provides (ACI) equipment field service engineering support in any location in Egypt.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out the repair, maintenance and overhaul as necessary elements of (ACI).
• Performing general maintenance, fitting, troubleshooting and fault finding on systems & sub-systems.
• Providing oral and written responses to requests for 3rd-line technical support from the site of operations to either site engineers, Rapiscan distributors engineers or customer representatives.
• Providing defect liability or post-acceptance support for airport equipment.
• Installing any ACI systems as part of an installation team.
• Completing technical documentation including service reports, engineering change requests & inputting service data to a simple functional database.

Installations:

• Play a key role in complex and multifunctional site installations.
• Assist senior engineers in installation and other related work.
• Share best practices.

Training:

• Proactively seek training to keep up-to-date with technological developments in own modality/modalities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor of engineering degree is essential.
• Qualified to degree level in Electrical and/or Electronics or equivalent is essential.
• Technical analytical & Trouble-shooting skills is essential.
• Very good IT Skills with knowledge of networking.
• PLC knowledge a very good advantage.
• up to 3 years field service experience is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of screening or X-ray is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
• High work standards - qualitatively, demonstrates initiative and motivation.
• Strong customer skills.
• Full rights to live and work in Egypt.
• Very good command of English.
• Very good communication skills.
