Job Purpose To take overall responsibility for the delivery of a major project, ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on time, within the approved budget and to the required quality standards. The Project Director will lead the project team and work closely with the client, consultants and contractors to manage the day-to-day delivery, resolve key issues and ensure the project objectives are achieved. What you will be doing Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring alignment with the approved objectives, programme, budget, quality and HSE requirements. Define and lead the overall project management strategy and ensure effective implementation throughout the project lifecycle. Lead the project team and coordinate with consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Act as the senior escalation point for major project risks, delays, resource constraints and delivery issues, ensuring timely decisions and resolution. Monitor project progress against the approved programme, budget and key milestones, and take appropriate action where performance is falling behind. Oversee project budgets and cost performance, including financial reporting, cost control and identification of cost-saving opportunities. Lead the management of project changes, variations and claims, ensuring that the impact on cost and programme is properly assessed and managed. Provide direction on contractor management, procurement, resource planning and acceleration measures where required to maintain the project programme. Ensure effective coordination between design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities. Work closely with Procurement, Contracts and Commercial teams to support project delivery and ensure that key commercial matters are properly managed. Lead project governance and regular progress meetings, providing clear and accurate updates to the client and senior management. Oversee project reporting and performance reviews, using project data to identify trends, risks and areas requiring management attention. Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, quality and HSE requirements throughout the project. Lead the project through completion, testing, commissioning, handover and close-out, ensuring all outstanding matters are properly addressed. Support continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and implementing improvements during the project lifecycle. What you will bring Bachelor s or Master s degree in Project Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering (or related field) with PMP certification 15-20 years of experience, including 8+ years in senior leadership roles managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects (developer experience preferred) Strong expertise in project and program delivery, strategic planning, and execution Experience in Banking/ corporate / commercial, infrastructure, and high-value fit-out projects. In-depth knowledge of Egyptian construction laws, building codes, environmental regulations, and compliance standards Proven ability to manage budgets, risks, vendors, and complex project lifecycles end-to-end. Advanced proficiency in project tools (Primavera preferred) and reporting platforms including Power BI and MS Office Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder environments Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills Strong focus on governance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence Agile mindset with the ability to drive innovation and adapt to evolving business needs.
