The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy environment for guests, employees, and visitors. The role involves implementing safety policies, ensuring compliance with health regulations, managing emergency procedures, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards across all hotel departments including housekeeping, kitchens, restaurants, and recreational facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement hotel health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments in guest areas, kitchens, laundry, housekeeping, engineering, and public areas.
- Monitor sanitation, pest control, and food handling procedures.
- Develop and maintain fire safety systems and evacuation plans.
- Conduct fire drills and emergency response training.
- Ensure proper maintenance of fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency exits.
- Investigate accidents involving guests or employees.
- Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- 4 8 years of experience in health and safety, preferably in hospitality or hotels.
