Role Description This full-time Network Engineer (ATM Support) role is based in Qesm El Doki and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The Network Engineer will support and maintain network infrastructure related to ATM services, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization of network devices and connections. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving network incidents, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring secure and stable connectivity for ATM networks. The candidate must have deep expertise in routing protocols, specially BGP, and hands-on experience with leased line and 4G connectivity
Responsibilities Provide onsite and remote support for bank ATMs network infrastructure. Configure, troubleshoot and maintain ATMs network devices including routers, switches and 4G routers. Perform installation, replacement and migration of ATMs network hardware. Troubleshoot routing issues with strong focus on BGP, BGP routing policies and WAN connectivity to ensure high availability and efficient traffic flow across all ATMs. Configure and troubleshoot 4G connectivity and failover solutions. Proactively monitor network performance and link quality (latency, jitter, signal strength for 4G), identifying potential bottlenecks before they impact business operations. Investigate and resolve ATMs connectivity incidents within the agreed SLA. Coordinate with Communication Service Providers and internal stakeholders to restore network services. Analyze network events, alarms and logs to identify and resolve network issues. Perform preventive health checks and ensure configuration compliance across branch network devices. Support maintenance activities, software upgrades and security-related configurations when required. Provide regular performance reports to the management team. Document all implementation activities, configurations, troubleshooting steps and incident resolutions.
Qualifications Hands-on experience in BGP configuration and troubleshooting is mandatory Strong skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering, including managing routers, switches, and related infrastructure. Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Network Security, with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and apply secure solutions. Experience in Network Design, including planning, implementing, and optimizing network topologies for high availability. Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) are an advantage. Knowledge of ATM systems and banking network environments is preferred, along with familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems. Ability to work in hybrid settings, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage priorities in fast-paced environments.
