Role Description The Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm 2nd 6 October. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing mechanical designs, drawings, and technical documents for projects, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and client specifications. The engineer coordinates with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to clarify technical requirements, support material selection, and resolve mechanical issues during project execution. Daily tasks include performing technical calculations, supporting value engineering, reviewing shop drawings and as-built documents, and preparing method statements and technical reports. The role also involves monitoring equipment performance data, contributing to maintenance plans, and providing technical guidance to junior team members to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective project delivery.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical engineering background with proficiency in equipment maintenance and general maintenance practices. Experience in preventive maintenance planning and implementation for mechanical systems and equipment. Proven ability in troubleshooting mechanical issues and overseeing maintenance & repair activities. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in mechanical or maintenance engineering are an advantage. Experience in technical office work, including design review, shop drawings, and technical documentation for construction or industrial projects. Solid understanding of relevant mechanical codes, standards, and safety regulations. Proficiency with engineering and drafting software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, or similar) and MS Office tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Previous experience in project-based environments and familiarity with project management principles is preferred.
