Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and oversee end to end accounting operations across multiple Middle East markets, ensuring consistency and compliance across all entities
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high reporting quality
Supervise and guide local accounting teams, promoting standardized accounting practices and strong controllership discipline
Act as the primary regional point of contact for accounting governance and financial control matters
Review journals, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy
Drive continuous improvement in close efficiency, reporting quality, and balance sheet integrity
Maintain strong ownership of balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely resolution of aged or complex items
Oversee accounting controls across payables, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany, payroll, and tax balances
Ensure full compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies, and local statutory requirements
Provide technical accounting guidance for complex or non routine transactions
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of findings
Support statutory audits and liaise with external advisors and local finance teams
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization
Strengthening ERP controls and accounting workflows, supporting broader finance transformation initiatives
Reinforce internal control frameworks, segregation of duties, and governance standards
Coach, develop, and upskill accounting team members across the region
Build a high performance accounting culture focused on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or similar is highly desirable
6 to 8 years of progressive experience in accounting or controllership roles
Big 4 audit or advisory experience is strongly preferred
Prior experience within a multinational or regional organization
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
Proven experience managing financial close, audits, and internal controls
Solid exposure to balance sheet management and account reconciliations
Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
