Operations Manager – E-Commerce Platform (B2C & B2B Marketplace)
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our multi-vendor e-commerce platform.
The platform operates in both B2C (vendors selling to customers) and B2B (bulk product supply from the platform to vendors) models.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics, delivery operations, warehousing, vendor fulfillment, and operational workflows to ensure efficient order processing, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, operational planning skills, and experience in e-commerce supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management Oversee the entire operational lifecycle of the platform including order processing, fulfillment, logistics, and delivery. Develop and implement operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization. Coordinate between vendors, warehouse teams, delivery partners, and internal departments.2. Logistics & Delivery Management Manage and optimize the last-mile delivery process. Coordinate with delivery teams and third-party logistics providers. Ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery performance. Track delivery KPIs such as:Delivery success rate Average delivery time Failed delivery rate Delivery cost optimization Handle escalations related to delivery delays, returns, and logistics issues.3. Warehouse & Inventory Management Supervise warehouse operations including:Receiving goods Storage Inventory management Order packing and dispatch Ensure inventory accuracy and stock availability. Implement systems for inventory tracking, stock alerts, and stock optimization. Coordinate with procurement teams for B2B inventory supply to vendors.4. Vendor Operations (Marketplace) Manage operational relationships with marketplace vendors. Ensure vendors follow platform fulfillment standards and delivery timelines. Assist vendors with onboarding, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes. Monitor vendor performance including:Order acceptance rate Fulfillment speed Customer ratings Return rates5. B2B Operations Management Manage the bulk product distribution process from the platform to vendors. Coordinate large quantity purchasing, warehousing, and distribution. Optimize procurement and vendor supply chain workflows. Ensure timely delivery of wholesale orders to marketplace vendors.6. Team Leadership & Coordination Manage and supervise operational teams including:Warehouse staff Logistics coordinators Delivery teams Inventory controllers Develop performance metrics and KPIs for operational teams. Train teams on operational standards and procedures. Ensure effective communication across departments.7. Process Optimization & Automation Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements. Work closely with the product and engineering teams to improve operational tools within the platform. Implement automation where possible for:order routinginventory trackingvendor managementlogistics workflows.8. Customer Experience Support Ensure operational processes support high customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the customer support team to resolve:delivery issuesorder delaysreturns and refunds. Improve fulfillment processes to reduce operational complaints. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The Operations Manager will be responsible for achieving targets including:Order fulfillment rate On-time delivery rate Logistics cost per order Vendor performance metrics Inventory accuracy Warehouse efficiency Return and refund rates
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.5+ years of experience in operations management within e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain industries. Experience managing multi-vendor marketplaces or large e-commerce platforms is highly preferred.
