Key Responsibilities- Design original textile patterns, prints, and colorways for home bedding collections.- Research global market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products to develop commercially viable designs.- Create design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and artwork aligned with brand identity.- Develop repeat patterns and placements suitable for various bedding products.- Collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility.- Prepare accurate design files and technical specifications for sampling and production.- Coordinate with vendors and factories for sample development, revisions, and approvals.- Review samples and ensure quality, color accuracy, and design consistency.- Maintain and update design archives, libraries, and seasonal collections.- Ensure timelines are met and support seasonal product launches.
Required Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.- 3–5 years of relevant experience in home textiles or bedding design (preferred).- Strong knowledge of fabrics, weaves, finishes, and printing techniques.- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and related tools.- Excellent understanding of color, pattern development, and trend forecasting.- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.- Attention to detail with a commercial and customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Attributes- Experience working with international clients or export-oriented brands.- Knowledge of sustainable materials and eco-friendly textile practices.- Familiarity with CAD textile design systems.- Passion for home decor and lifestyle products.
