Overview

  • Support the legal function for the company activity in the different business units in drafting contracts; contract risk management, litigation support, corporate support, and giving the general legal advice in order to safeguard the Company’s interest.


Responsibilities:

1-Health & Safety:

Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.


2-Functional:

  • Provide legal advice to various departments.
  • Monitor updates in laws and regulations
  • Oversee compliance with applicable laws and regulations and conduct legal research and analysis to stay current on changes that may impact the company
  • Creating, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, such as agreements, terms & conditions, policies, and other contractual arrangements
  • Maintain and update existing templates and contracting processes
  • Ensuring that all business contracts and agreements comply with applicable laws, protecting the company's interests, and minimizing legal risks
  • Draft and review the legality of transactions, contracts and agreements
  • Conduct Commercial Contract Risk Management and provide proactive guidance for commercial team on complex market transactions to ensure compliance with relevant laws and LH directives and policies (e.g. TPDD, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, COBC and Fair competition).
  • Implement local policies / procedures as needed to address gaps and coordinate market implementation of global controls designed to strengthen in-market compliance.
  • Engage in meetings with BU colleagues and other functional leaders designed to clarify areas of risk and mitigation needs including but not limited to risks presented by third party relationships.
  • Coordinate with external lawyers to assess legal issues
  • Assisting and managing, drafting and reviewing documents related to disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters, and developing effective strategies to resolve legal issues and protect the company's rights
  • Reviewing and preparing regulatory filings such as General Assemblies Minutes and other related documents, BoD Minutes and other related documents; any documents and filings with any governmental entity (such as GAFI, MCDR, etc.)


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor of law

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of Corporate Law, contract drafting skills and negotiation skills; legal research;
  • Analytical thinking and skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Computer skills (Word, excel and Power Point)
  • Excellent Arabic and English
  • Capacity to operate autonomously and handle numerous assignments concurrently
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Problem solving

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience
