Non-Trade Procurement Supervisor

The job role is to oversee the procurement of indirect goods and services, including maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO)supplies, office services, IT, and other non-production-related materials. he/she will be responsible for sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and ensuring procurement processes are aligned with business objectives and budgetary constraints.



Key Responsibilities:


- Sourcing and Procurement:


Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect categories such as MRO, office supplies, IT equipment, facility services, tools, and other non-production related purchases.

Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities. Develop and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs) to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.


-Supplier Management:


Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining high quality and service standards.

Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable and consistent delivery of goods and services. Evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality, delivery time, and price competitiveness.


- Cost Optimization and Budgeting:


Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitive sourcing, vendor consolidation, and effective negotiation.

Monitor and manage procurement budgets for indirect categories to ensure alignment with financial goals.

Track and report cost savings and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency.


-Process Improvement:


Continuously improve procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract management, and purchase order execution.

Implement best practices in indirect procurement and drive process efficiency to support business objectives.

Collaborate with internal departments (such as finance, operations, and IT) to align procurement efforts with company goals.


- Risk Management and Compliance:


Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, delivery timelines, and contractual obligations.


-Data Management and Reporting:


Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, supplier performance data, and purchase orders.

Generate regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and supplier compliance for management review.


# Qualifications:


- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in indirect procurement, with a preference for candidates from a manufacturing background.


- Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems). Strong knowledge of sourcing, procurement, and contract management processes.


Familiarity with procurement of MRO, IT, facility services, and other indirect categories.


-Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze costs, performance data, and market trends to make informed decisions.


- Communication and Negotiation: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


- Certifications:


Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are a plus.
