The Lab Section Head at Alamal Alsharif Plastics is responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations, ensuring that quality control procedures are followed and that testing of raw materials and finished products adheres to industry and company standards. This role involves managing a team of lab technicians, conducting risk assessments, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards. The Lab Section Head plays a key role in ensuring that products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily lab operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor the lab team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Manage lab schedules, workflow, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Supervise the testing of raw materials and products according to approved specifications.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all lab activities, test results, and quality reports.
- Ensure continuous compliance with certification standards.
- Manage laboratory operations and conduct risk analysis as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.
- Ensure all lab activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in polymer science and plastic manufacturing technologies.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring all instruments are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project progress, test results, and any quality concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- + 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or polymer research lab, preferred in pipes and fittings.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment and conducting various chemical and physical tests.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
