The Sales Engineer is responsible for combining technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support for selling complex products and services. They work as part of the sales team and serve as a liaison between the company’s engineering department and its clients. The role involves a blend of relationship-building and technical expertise to meet both customer needs and sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Business Development:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
o Identify and pursue sales opportunities, presenting products and services to potential customers.
o Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess customer needs.
o Meet or exceed sales targets through customer acquisition and retention.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product development, and marketing) to align product offerings with customer requirements.
o Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that customer specifications are understood and met.
o Provide feedback from clients to improve existing products and help develop new offerings.
• Product Knowledge & Industry Expertise:
o Stay up-to-date on the company’s product lines, technical advancements, and industry trends.
o Understand competitors’ products and services to effectively position the company’s solutions.
o Continuously expand technical knowledge to become an expert in the products and services being sold.
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
o Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions using

o Track customer satisfaction and work to resolve any issues that arise during or after the sales process.
o Follow up with client’s post-sale to ensure product satisfaction and explore opportunities for additional sales.
