Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Office
Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP
(Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering, with specific experience in managing
industrial projects. The Technical Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical
office operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest
quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Management:
○ Lead and manage the technical office team, including engineers and draftsmen.
○ Oversee the preparation and review of shop drawings, material submittals, and
as-built drawings.
○ Ensure all designs and drawings comply with industry standards and client
specifications.
○ Apply value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
2. Project Coordination:
○ Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to
ensure seamless project execution.
○ Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
○ Monitor project progress and ensure technical documentation is up-to-date and
accurate.
3. Quality Assurance:
○ Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of
workmanship.
○ Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with technical specifications and
standards.
○ Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to technical aspects of
projects.
4. Supplier and Vendor Management:
○ Renegotiate supplier prices and terms to achieve cost savings.
○ Work with the procurement team to evaluate and select vendors based on
quality, cost, and reliability.
○ Collaborate with consultants to approve changes in vendors and materials.
5. Training and Development:
○ Provide guidance and training to technical office staff to enhance their skills and
knowledge.
○ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
within the team.


Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.● Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a technical management role within the MEPcontracting industry, with a focus on industrial projects.● Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.● Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.● Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.● Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.● Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
