Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop, implement, and manage the annual budget process.
- Prepare financial forecasts and provide analysis to support strategic planning.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
Team Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants.
- Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor performance.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to enhance efficiency.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues related to billing and payments.
Tax Compliance:
- Manage tax filings and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Liaise with tax advisors to optimize tax strategies.
- Ensure timely payment of taxes and submission of tax returns.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in Accounting role , with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). Advanced Excel skills.
