Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of kitchen equipment. Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning, and equipment servicing.
Core Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, mixers, slicers, and other appliances.
• Regularly inspect kitchen equipment to identify any issues or potential problems before they escalate. This helps in preventing breakdowns and ensuring smooth operations.
• Install new kitchen equipment and ensure that it is correctly set up according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Calibrates kitchen equipment to ensure accuracy in temperature, pressure, and other settings as needed for optimal performance.
• Test repaired equipment to verify that it is working correctly and safely before returning it to service.
• Maintains detailed records of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. This documentation helps in tracking equipment history and predicting maintenance needs.
• Provides training to kitchen staff on the proper use and care of equipment to minimize damage and prolong its lifespan.
• Attended quickly to emergency calls on equipment repair issues, as well as to after-work-hour calls.
• Orders, inventory, and manage spare parts to ensure the availability of necessary components for repairs and maintenance.
• Keeps abreast of new technologies, trends, and regulations in kitchen equipment to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Ensures that all repaired and maintained equipment complies with safety regulations and standards to prevent accidents and injuries in the kitchen.
• Log into the work order management system to find, accept, and complete the work requests.
• Collaborates with other maintenance workers, company officials, and staff to effectively provide solutions to maintenance problems.
Skills
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Good English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize and work under pressure.
