Title: Database Monitoring Team Leader

Job Summary:

Supervises the Database Monitoring team during assigned 24x7 shifts, ensuring continuous monitoring of Banque Misr IT infrastructure, including Oracle and MSSQL database and servers. Ensure timely detection, analysis, escalation, and follow-up of critical events while coaching and mentoring Monitoring Engineers to improve their technical and operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervises the Database Monitoring team during assigned shifts and act as the primary operational contact for monitoring activities.
• Coordinates daily monitoring activities to ensure continuous coverage and adherence to operational procedures.
• Assigns priorities and workload among Monitoring team during the shift.
• Oversee continuous monitoring of enterprise infrastructure components, including Operating system bases (AIX, Linux and Windows), Oracle Database administration, MSSQL server administration, etc.
• Ensures monitoring dashboards accurately reflect the operational status of services.
• Monitors Databases availability, utilization, and performance against agreed service levels and KPIs.
• Ensures incidents are escalated promptly to Infrastructure, Database teams with sufficient technical evidence.
• Monitors the progress of critical incidents and ensure timely follow-up until service restoration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT Infrastructure operations, Application Performance Monitoring, or any relevant technical role in IT
• Experience working in 24X7 mission critical environment
• Banking experience is preferable
