Position Overview:
EDECS is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to ensure the effective implementation of QA/QC requirements, prepare and monitor quality reports, manage internal and external nonconformities and defective items through root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions, develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) to ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and established quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Quality Planning & Management Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and quality procedures in coordination with the Direct Manager and Project Manager for approval. Track and incorporate all client modifications and revisions into the approved Quality Plan. Maintain project quality objectives and ensure effective implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) on-site. Monitor compliance with company and project-specific quality policies and procedures.
Project Specifications & Quality Requirements Review and thoroughly study project specifications, drawings, and quality-related contractual requirements. Ensure project activities comply with approved technical specifications and contractual requirements. Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for project activities.
Quality Control & Inspection Handle all internal and external Inspection Requests (IRs) to verify that completed works comply with contractual and technical standards. Review inspection submissions and supervise inspections to ensure proper execution and compliance. Identify, document, and follow up on any non-conformities until satisfactory closure. Monitor quality activities through inspections, checklists, ITPs, and other quality control documentation.
Quality Reporting & Documentation Prepare and submit weekly quality reports to Project Management. Provide comprehensive updates on the status of: Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) Inspection Requests (IRs) Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Quality checklists Other quality-related activities and documentation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.
Method Statements & Quality Compliance Review Method Statements to ensure that all required Quality Control aspects are properly addressed. Verify that inspection and testing requirements are clearly defined before commencement of activities. Ensure quality requirements are communicated and implemented throughout project execution.
Audits & Quality Management System Conduct internal quality audits to monitor compliance with the established QMS. Identify areas for improvement and follow up on corrective actions. Promote a strong quality culture and adherence to approved quality procedures across the project.
Performance Monitoring & Metrics Support Project Leaders in establishing appropriate project quality performance metrics. Monitor key quality performance indicators and provide regular reports to the project team. Track quality performance against agreed targets and identify areas requiring corrective action.
Quality Team Management Manage and coordinate the internal and external teams responsible for quality inspection and testing. Assign responsibilities and ensure adequate resources are available for quality activities. Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party inspectors as required.
Training & Quality Awareness Prepare and conduct internal quality training programs before the commencement of project activities. Ensure personnel understand applicable quality requirements, procedures, inspection processes, and project specifications. Promote quality awareness among project personnel and site teams.
Equipment Calibration Manage the equipment calibration program to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measuring and testing equipment. Schedule and monitor periodic calibration activities. Maintain calibration certificates and related records. Verify that measuring and testing equipment complies with applicable industry standards and project requirements.
Factory & Off-Site Inspections Coordinate factory and off-site inspections with suppliers and subcontractors. Verify the compliance of materials, equipment, and products with approved specifications before delivery to site. Organize inspection schedules and prepare the required inspection documentation. Ensure qualified inspectors are assigned to conduct factory and off-site inspections. Follow up on inspection findings and ensure any identified issues are properly addressed before delivery.
Coordination with Project Stakeholders Coordinate with Project Management, Consultants, Clients, Suppliers, and Subcontractors on quality-related matters. Ensure timely submission, review, approval, and closure of quality documentation and inspection activities. Provide technical quality support to project teams throughout project execution.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.10-15 years of experience in the related field with at least 4 years of managerial experience ISO Certifications are mandatory Proficiency in digital tools
