What You'll Be Doing:Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Boutiqaat's Android applications. Build features across the complete digital shopping journey discovery, search, personalization, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, loyalty, notifications, and order tracking. Create reusable, modular, maintainable components that can scale with the business. Deliver smooth, responsive experiences across a wide range of Android devices. Build applications capable of handling massive traffic spikes during major campaigns and promotional events. Lead Android architecture and technical decisions using modern engineering practices. Apply Clean Architecture, MVVM, modularization, Dependency Injection, SOLID, and scalable design patterns. Conduct meaningful code reviews and establish high engineering standards. Identify technical debt and turn it into opportunities for improvement. Contribute to technical design, estimation, architecture reviews, and strategic engineering decisions. Mentor developers and share knowledge across the team. Optimize application performance including startup time, responsiveness, memory utilization, and overall stability. Implement secure coding practices to protect customer data and payment-related functionality. Develop and maintain unit tests, UI tests, and automated testing practices. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues. Support application releases, rollout strategies, and production improvements. Support mobile application build, deployment, and release processes using Fastlane, Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar CI/CD platforms. Collaborating with Product, UX/UI, Backend, QA, Dev Ops, Data, Marketing, Logistics across functional teams to deliver customer-focused mobile solutions. Integrating Android applications with APIs, microservices, payment gateways, loyalty platforms, analytics tools, recommendation engines, and third-party services. Supporting mobile initiatives related to personalization, customer engagement, promotions, notifications, and digital commerce. Collaborating with Dev Ops teams to enhance CI/CD workflows, build automation, and application delivery processes. Utilize AI-powered development tools like Chat GPT, Amazon Q Developer, Kiro, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini Code Assist, Windsurf or similar to improve development efficiency and engineering productivity. Apply AI-assisted development practices, including Vibe Coding and Agentic Development, while maintaining proper engineering discipline. Leverage AI for code generation, debugging, documentation, refactoring, testing, analysis, and workflow automation. Evaluate emerging AI and software development technologies. Recommend innovative solutions aligned with Boutiqaat's technology strategy. Ensure AI-generated or AI-assisted solutions are properly reviewed, tested, validated, secured, and aligned with architectural standards. Maintain technical documentation covering application architecture, APIs, development standards, and engineering practices. Share technical knowledge through mentoring, technical reviews, and best-practice sessions. Research emerging Android technologies and recommend improvements to Boutiqaat's mobile platform. Continuously identify opportunities to improve development processes, application quality, and engineering productivity.
What You will Bring to table:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of professional Android development experience Proven success delivering enterprise-scale Android applications Experience leading complex mobile projects and mentoring engineers Strong background integrating REST APIs, Graph QL, cloud services, and third-party SDKsExperience working within Agile/Scrum environments Experience using AI-assisted development tools is highly desirable Confident with Kotlin (expert level) and Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Jetpack Compose and XML-based UI development, Android Architecture Components, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Repository Pattern, SOLID Principles, Hilt/Dagger, Coroutines & Flow, Retrofit & OkHttp, Firebase, Room, Navigation Component, Work Manager, Data Store, Glide or Coil, Paging, Git, Git Hub/Git Lab, CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices, JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, and automated testing frameworks, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and Performance Monitoring Think like an engineer and build like a craftsman Writes clean, scalable, maintainable code Loves solving performance and architecture challenges Understands security, scalability, and modern software engineering principles Embraces AI as a productivity multiplier while maintaining engineering discipline Enjoys mentoring others and sharing knowledge Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative Agile teams
