Role Description The Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based at White Nile Pharmacy in Giza. The role involves accurately dispensing prescription medications, verifying dosages, and reviewing potential drug interactions. The Pharmacist will counsel patients on proper medication use, possible side effects, and lifestyle considerations, while maintaining clear, professional communication with prescribers and other healthcare providers. Daily responsibilities include managing inventory, overseeing medication storage conditions, handling prescription records in compliance with regulations, and supporting pharmacy technicians where needed. The Pharmacist will also assist with quality assurance processes, contribute to continuous improvement of pharmacy operations, and ensure that all activities comply with legal and professional standards.
Qualifications

Professional pharmacy expertise: strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions; ability to interpret prescriptions and clinical information accurately. Patient care and communication: clear counseling skills, active listening, and the ability to explain medical information in accessible language to diverse patient populations. Regulatory and safety practices: familiarity with pharmacy laws, controlled substances regulations, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols. Operational skills: attention to detail in dispensing, inventory management, and record-keeping; comfort working with pharmacy software and digital systems. Education and credentials: Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution; valid pharmacist license in Egypt (or eligibility to obtain); good standing with relevant professional bodies. Personal attributes: high ethical standards, reliability, ability to work in a team, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous professional development. Preferred experience: prior community pharmacy experience, familiarity with chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, hypertension), and experience supporting vaccination or other clinical services.
