Responsibilities:
Lead AI maturity assessments using structured diagnostic frameworks (capability, data, technology readiness scoring)

Design AI operating models — CoE structures, hub-and-spoke or federated models, funding/chargeback mechanisms
Run structured use-case discovery workshops and score/prioritize the portfolio (RICE, value-effort matrices)
Build the AI value-realization framework — KPIs, baseline metrics, post-deployment tracking methodology
Own AI Portfolio Management — stage-gating and reallocating investment across the use-case pipeline
Facilitate C-suite and board-level workshops to align on AI ambition and risk appetite
Own the AI adoption and change-management plan at the portfolio level
Manage competing executive priorities and broker consensus across business-unit leaders
Coach client sponsors on how to champion AI initiatives internally
Requirements:
8–15+ yrs strategy/management consulting, with 3+ yrs in AI/digital transformation specifically
Working technical fluency in AI/ML architectures, model types, and data requirements
Skilled in portfolio prioritization and value-scoring frameworks (RICE, weighted-value matrices)
Experience designing AI operating models, governance charters, and funding/chargeback mechanisms
Familiar with AI maturity models and capability diagnostic frameworks
Comfortable reviewing technical architecture documents and PoC results to validate assumptions
Working knowledge of enterprise AI/agentic platforms for build-vs-buy guidance — Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI; open-source ecosystem awareness (Lang Chain, Hugging Face) a good-to-have
Executive-level communication and facilitation — can run and control a C-suite workshop
Strong narrative/storytelling skills — turns a roadmap into a compelling, fundable business case
Political acumen — navigates competing stakeholder agendas without stalling momentum
Comfortable with ambiguity — structures a fuzzy transformation mandate into a sequenced plan
Coaching and advisory presence — builds trust with senior client sponsors over months
Strong written communication — produces board-ready documents under tight deadlines Success metrics: quality/adoption of delivered roadmaps (sign-off, follow-on funding) · % of prioritized use cases reaching delivery · executive satisfaction post-engagement
