Role Description The Senior Planning Engineer will lead planning activities for urban development projects, ensuring that project schedules, resources, and workflows are clearly defined and aligned with overall business objectives. This full-time, on-site role is based in 10th of Ramadan and involves preparing and maintaining detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and updating stakeholders on key milestones and risks. The person in this role will coordinate with engineering, construction, and production teams to optimize plans, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of project phases. Daily responsibilities include analyzing data, forecasting resource needs, supporting production planning, and implementing project control procedures. The Senior Planning Engineer will also prepare reports, participate in progress meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Planning and Production Planning skills to develop, coordinate, and optimize project schedules and workflows. Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, forecast trends, assess risks, and support decision-making. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present planning updates clearly. Candidates should possess Project Control skills to track performance, manage variances, and implement corrective actions. Relevant experience as a Planning Engineer or similar role in construction or urban development projects. Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and standard office tools. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field. Ability to work on-site in 10th of Ramadan, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under time constraints. Knowledge of construction methodologies, project lifecycle, and industry standards; familiarity with urban planning regulations is an advantage.
