Role Description The Senior Material Approval Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for reviewing, assessing, and approving construction and finishing materials to ensure they meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating material submittals, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, conducting technical assessments and tests, and maintaining comprehensive material documentation. The engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and design teams to optimize material selection for performance, cost-efficiency, and durability. The role also involves resolving material-related issues on-site, supporting continuous improvement in material usage, and contributing to the development of standards and best practices.

Position Requirements:

●Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
●6–8 years of experience in construction / technical office.
●Strong experience in Material Submittals & Material Approvals.
●Good knowledge of Finishing & Civil Materials, Specifications, IFC Drawings, and BOQ.
●Experience in Supplier & Consultant Coordination.
●Strong technical review, communication, and follow-up skills.
●Auto CAD and advanced Excel knowledge.
●High-end finishing experience is preferred.

Main Responsibility:
Manage the complete Material Approval Process from coordination with selected suppliers, technical review and preparation of submittals, through Consultant submission, follow-up, and final approval
