Role Description The Student Counselor / Sales Agent (Study Abroad) is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. In this position, the individual provides counseling to prospective students and families on suitable international programs, universities, and study destinations, aligning options with academic background, budget, and career aspirations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting consultations, managing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, and following up with leads to guide them through the application and admissions process. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of student interactions, preparing and reviewing application documents, coordinating with partner institutions, and supporting students with visa and pre-departure guidance. In addition, the Student Counselor / Sales Agent is expected to meet enrollment targets, participate in promotional events, and contribute to marketing activities that increase awareness of BESA Group’s services.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners toward suitable academic and professional pathways. Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, respond to inquiries, and deliver clear, supportive guidance to students and families. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Education systems and international study options to provide accurate, up-to-date information about programs and destinations. Candidates should possess sales and persuasion abilities, including lead management, follow-up, and the capability to meet enrollment or sales targets in a structured environment. Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in handling applications, documentation, and student records. Relevant experience in student advising, admissions, or education consultancy is highly beneficial; prior experience with study abroad programs is an advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred, along with proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site in Cairo, Egypt, and collaborating within a diverse, multicultural team environment.
