Brand & Growth Intern
About Drop Me:Drop Me is building AI-native circular recovery infrastructure that connects physical recycling experiences with digital rewards, data, engagement and measurable environmental outcomes. Our work sits at the intersection of technology, consumer behaviour, sustainability, brand and growth. We are looking for a Brand & Growth Intern who wants to work on that intersection — not someone looking only to schedule social media posts.
The Role You will help turn Drop Me from something people see into something they understand, try, return to, and talk about. Your work will cover the full growth journey:Awareness → Acquisition → Activation → Repeat Use → Referral → Advocacy You will work across digital channels, physical RVM activations, the Drop Me app ecosystem, partnerships, campaigns, community and performance data. This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to create, test, measure, learn and improve — not simply execute instructions.
What You Will Own:
1. Brand Positioning & Messaging Help make Drop Me easier to understand and harder to forget. You will:Translate the Drop Me proposition into clear consumer-facing messages. Adapt messaging for different audiences, locations and campaigns. Help maintain consistency across app, RVM, social, partner and activation touchpoints. Develop campaign concepts, hooks, headlines and calls to action. Identify messaging that feels generic, confusing or inconsistent with the brand. Help protect the brand from unsupported sustainability or impact claims.
2. Growth Funnel Understand where people drop off and help improve the journey. You will work across:Awareness Approach / intent First use Successful recycling session Reward/value experience Repeat usage Referral Reactivation You should be able to ask:Where are we losing people? Why? What can we test next?
3. Growth Experiments You will help design and run small, measurable experiments. Examples may include:Alternative RVM messaging. Different calls to action. Reward communication. Referral mechanics. QR journeys. Retention messages. Location-specific campaigns. Creator or community activations. Whats App or CRM journeys. Offer structures. On-ground activation concepts. Each meaningful experiment should have:Hypothesis → Test → Metric → Result → Decision We value useful learning more than impressive-looking activity.
4. Campaigns & Activations Support campaigns around Drop Me locations, RVM deployments, partnerships and product initiatives. You may contribute to:Campaign concepts. Launch plans. Physical activation journeys. Social content. Short-form video concepts. Influencer/creator briefs. Community activations. Partner campaigns. Offers and competitions. On-machine communication. App-related growth campaigns. You will help connect these elements into one customer journey, rather than treating each channel separately.
5. Social & Content Content is part of the role — but not the whole role. You will help:Build content around real growth objectives. Develop strong hooks and creative angles. Write or improve captions, scripts and campaign copy. Turn operational stories into useful content. Identify recurring content formats. Analyse which content drives behaviour rather than only reach. Repurpose strong ideas across relevant channels. We care more about what the content causes people to do than how many posts were published.
6. Retention & Community Growth does not end after the first recycling session. You will help explore ways to increase:Repeat visits. Reward engagement. Challenge participation. Community interaction. Referral. User reactivation. Habit formation. You may work with Green Wallet, competitions, rewards, offers, notifications, and other consumer-facing parts of the Drop Me ecosystem.
7. Performance & Measurement You do not need to be a data analyst, but you must be comfortable making decisions from data. You will help track metrics such as:Reach and attention. Acquisition. Conversion. Completed recycling sessions. Cost per activated user. Repeat usage. Retention. Referral. Campaign performance. Location performance. Reward engagement. You will help distinguish between:Vanity metrics and metrics that change decisions.
8. Partnerships & Commercial Growth Support Some growth opportunities will involve partners rather than consumers directly. You may support:Brand partnerships. Sponsorship concepts. Co-marketing opportunities. Partner activation ideas. Commercial campaign proposals. Research on potential partners. Partner-facing impact and engagement stories. You should gradually understand how consumer engagement can translate into commercial value for hosts, sponsors, and partners.
9. Market & Consumer Intelligence We expect curiosity beyond the laptop. You may:Observe how people interact with RVMs or other self-service experiences. Review competitor and adjacent-market campaigns. Track relevant consumer trends. Analyse local behaviour around rewards, recycling and digital engagement. Talk to internal teams to understand operational reality. Identify gaps between what we assume users do and what they actually do. Research should lead to a decision — not another presentation.
What Good Performance Looks Like During the internship, we expect progress toward being able to:Identify a growth problem before proposing a campaign. Write strong, clear Drop Me messaging. Build a simple growth experiment independently. Analyse campaign and funnel performance. Explain why a campaign worked or failed. Distinguish acquisition problems from retention problems. Turn user behaviour into actionable insights. Prioritise high-impact work. Challenge weak assumptions. Present recommendations clearly to the team. Use AI tools productively without outsourcing judgment.
What We Are Looking For You may come from marketing, business, media, communications, entrepreneurship or another relevant background.
More important than your degree is how you think. You should have:Strong written and verbal communication. Genuine interest in branding, consumer behaviour and growth. Good commercial awareness. Curiosity about why people behave the way they do. Comfort working with numbers and basic performance metrics. Ability to turn ideas into execution. Strong research instincts. Attention to detail. Ability to prioritise. Willingness to test ideas and be wrong. Confidence questioning assumptions respectfully.
Useful Skills — Not Mandatory Experience with any of the following is valuable:Meta Ads Manager Google Analytics / GA4Canva Figma Google Sheets / Excel Social media analytics CRM / Whats App marketing Email marketing Short-form video Copywriting Community management Influencer/creator campaigns A/B testing Marketing dashboards Basic funnel analysis You are not expected to know everything on day one.
AI & Modern Growth Tools AI is part of the working environment at Drop Me. You may use AI for:Research. Ideation. Copy exploration. Competitive analysis. Data interpretation. Creative development. Experiment design. Workflow automation. Productivity. But we expect you to know when an AI-generated answer is:Generic. Unsupported. Incorrect. Overcomplicated. Off-brand. Based on a weak assumption. The goal is not to avoid AI. The goal is to develop judgment that AI cannot replace.
How We Work You may work with people across:Growth & Brand. Product. Operations. AI / BI. Software Engineering. Partnerships. Business Development. Leadership. This means a campaign idea may need to survive technical, operational, financial, and commercial reality before it goes live.
This Role Is Probably Not for You IfYou mainly want to:Create posts without understanding the business objective. Measure success only through followers, likes or views. Copy competitors. Wait for detailed instructions before moving. Avoid numbers. Produce long presentations instead of making decisions. Use AI output without challenging it. Treat sustainability language as a substitute for evidence.
What You Can Learn Here The role provides exposure to more than traditional social-media marketing. You will gain experience across:Brand Strategy Consumer Growth Growth Experiments Physical × Digital Customer Journeys Retention & Rewards Community Performance Marketing Marketing Analytics Partnership Marketing Sustainability Communication AI-Assisted Growth Commercial Growth Most importantly, you will learn how growth decisions change when they interact with a real product, real users, real operating environments, and real commercial constraints.
The Standard We are not looking for the intern with the most marketing terminology. We are looking for someone who can increasingly answer four questions:What is actually happening? Why is it happening? What should we test or change? Did it work? If that way of thinking excites you, this role will give you a lot to work with.
