Role Description The Pharmacist will work on-site at Ivy Pharmacy in New Cairo in a full-time capacity, providing safe and accurate dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, counseling customers on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions, and responding to health-related inquiries in a clear, supportive manner. The role involves maintaining accurate patient records, managing inventory and stock rotation, and ensuring proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other team members to deliver excellent customer service, support wellness initiatives, and uphold regulatory, legal, and quality standards in all aspects of pharmacy operations. Qualifications Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and medication safety practices. Proficiency in prescription processing, pharmaceutical documentation, and use of pharmacy management or dispensing software. Customer-centered communication skills, with the ability to explain medical information in a clear, empathetic, and culturally sensitive manner. Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing inventory, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, including time management, teamwork, and problem-solving under pressure. Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) from an accredited institution and a valid pharmacist license/registration as required by local regulations. Knowledge of relevant pharmacy laws, ethics, and professional standards; commitment to compliance and patient confidentiality. Prior experience in retail or community pharmacy is preferred, especially in customer-facing roles and wellness product advising. Willingness to work full-time on-site in New Cairo, including evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts as needed.
