The Steel Detailing Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of steel structures, collaborating with architects and engineers, ensuring accuracy in structural design, and preparing documentation needed for fabrication and construction. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and interpreting blueprints, developing and modifying steel detail drawings, and coordinating with project teams to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar software for steel detailing

• Strong understanding of structural steel design and fabrication processes

• Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing steel detail drawings

• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with architects, engineers, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field

• Experience from 5 to 7 years with industry standards and codes related to steel construction

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Previous experience in the construction or heavy steel fabrication industry is a plus
