Key responsibilities: -
1. operate various CNC machines.
2. disassemble and assemble the tools used in the machines.
3. periodically sharpen the tools.
4. ensure tool safety before use.
5. perform preventive maintenance on the machines.
6. monitor oil levels and coolant fluids and their validity.
7. daily cleaning of machines and machine brushes from swarf daily.
8. organize tools and maintain order.
9. adjust operating programs when needed and coordinate with the supervisor.
10. monitor feed rates and operating speeds and adjust if required.
11. record the operating schedule on a daily basis.
12. ensure good quality of machined parts during operation.
13. follow safety guidelines to prevent any harm to the operator, machines, or parts.
14. verify the suitability of clamp locations for the programs and approve any conflicts immediately.
15. monitor tool wear and replace immediately when needed.
