Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ship Captain role based in Alexandria, Egypt. The Ship Captain will be responsible for commanding vessels involved in marine works, diving operations, and hydrographic surveys, ensuring safe navigation and adherence to company and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include planning routes, monitoring weather and sea conditions, overseeing vessel operations, and coordinating with diving, survey, and technical teams to support project objectives. The role also involves supervising crew members, conducting safety briefings and drills, managing onboard training, and maintaining accurate logs and documentation. The Ship Captain will represent SEAPRO GROUP to clients and partners, ensuring excellent customer service and professional communication during offshore and nearshore operations.
Qualifications
Strong boating and vessel handling experience, including command of boats used in offshore and marine works. Proficiency in navigation, route planning, and use of modern navigational equipment and charts. Demonstrated customer service skills when interacting with clients, partners, and crew. Experience in crew training, safety drills, and onboard operational procedures. Valid captain’s license and relevant maritime certifications in line with Egyptian and international regulations. Proven experience in offshore, marine, or diving operations; familiarity with oil and gas, survey, or civil marine projects is an advantage. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, especially in challenging sea conditions. Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are an asset.
