Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Maintenance Engineer role based in Alexandria, Egypt, focusing on heavy equipment. The Electrical Maintenance Engineer will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems for trucks, cranes, pumps, generators, compressors, and other fleet equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical faults, troubleshooting control and power circuits, ensuring proper installation and commissioning of electrical components, and updating maintenance records. The role involves close collaboration with mechanical maintenance teams, operations staff, and HSE personnel to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards. The engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to maintenance planning, and assist in training technicians on electrical maintenance procedures. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance for heavy equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance. Experience with industrial electrical systems such as motors, drives, control panels, PLCs, wiring, and power distribution. Understanding and application of HSE standards, especially in hazardous materials environments and heavy transportation operations. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Relevant technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience in fleet maintenance, oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy transportation sectors is highly beneficial. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and under operational constraints. Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting; familiarity with CMMS or similar systems is an advantage. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with engineers, technicians, and operations staff. Willingness to follow company safety policies and participate in ongoing technical and HSE training.
