Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in leading the daily operations of our casual dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience, leading and developing the restaurant team, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring the restaurant achieves its sales and profitability objectives while upholding the highest quality, service, and food safety standards.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and seamless service.

  • Lead and supervise restaurant staff during shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to company standards.

  • Assist in onboarding, training, coaching, and developing team members.

  • Monitor employee performance and foster a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.

  • Resolve guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently maintained.

  • Conduct opening, closing, and shift management procedures while ensuring operational readiness.

  • Monitor inventory levels, control stock, minimize waste, and support ordering activities.

  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth communication and timely service.

  • Support labor scheduling and monitor staffing levels based on business demands.

  • Assist in achieving sales targets, controlling operating costs, and maximizing restaurant profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Support the implementation of local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive guest traffic.

  • Prepare operational reports and monitor restaurant KPIs to support continuous improvement.

  • Act as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, such as Shift Leader, Restaurant Supervisor, or Assistant Restaurant Manager.

  • Previous experience in a casual dining restaurant is required.

  • Experience with an international restaurant brand is highly preferred.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Good knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

  • Experience using restaurant management software and POS systems.

  • Good understanding of inventory management, cost control, labor management, and restaurant financial performance.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • English language proficiency: Very Good.

  • Computer skills: Good.

  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
