Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Generate new sales leads through cold calls, emails, networking, referrals, social media, and customer visits.

  • Identify and approach potential customers across various industries.

  • Promote Blue Ocean Marine Logistics' freight forwarding and logistics services.

  • Achieve assigned sales and Gross Profit (GP) targets.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.

  • Understand customer logistics requirements and recommend suitable solutions.

  • Prepare, present, and follow up on quotations until a final decision is reached.

  • Maintain regular communication to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.

Sales Administration

  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in the company's CRM system.

  • Record meetings, quotations, follow-ups, and opportunities promptly.

  • Prepare weekly sales activity and pipeline reports.

Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Pricing Department to obtain competitive quotations.

  • Handover confirmed bookings to the Operations Department with complete shipment details.

  • Coordinate with Finance regarding payment terms and collection follow-ups when required.

  • Work closely with Customer Service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Market Awareness

  • Stay informed about freight forwarding services, shipping market trends, and competitor activities.

  • Continuously improve knowledge of logistics solutions and international trade practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • 0–5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or freight forwarding (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).

  • Freight forwarding or logistics experience is an advantage.

  • Good command of English (written and spoken).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general computer applications.

  • Ability to use CRM systems effectively to manage leads, customer interactions, and sales activities.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Customer-oriented mindset with good problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make informed day-to-day decisions while knowing when to escalate complex issues appropriately.

  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively within a team.

  • Professional attitude with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
