Job Details

Job Purpose

To coordinate and supervise the execution of MEP project activities from mobilization through handover while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contractual requirements, project schedule, and budget.

The role supports the Project Manager by coordinating technical and site activities and facilitating communication between clients, consultants, subcontractors, procurement, technical office, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution

  • Supervise daily site activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

  • Coordinate execution activities across all MEP disciplines to maintain smooth project progress.

  • Monitor work progress against the approved project schedule and report any deviations.

  • Ensure proper utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.

  • Support the Project Manager in achieving project milestones and deliverables.

  • Resolve day-to-day technical and site execution issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.


2. Site Coordination

  • Coordinate with Technical Office regarding shop drawings, RFIs, technical clarifications, and engineering support.

  • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of approved materials and equipment.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client representatives throughout project execution.

  • Ensure all required approvals are obtained before execution activities begin.

  • Participate in site coordination and progress meetings.


3. Planning & Progress Monitoring

  • Assist in developing short-term and look-ahead execution plans.

  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays.

  • Recommend corrective actions to maintain project schedule.

  • Support preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports.

  • Track project milestones and productivity.


4. Cost & Resource Control

  • Monitor material consumption and site resource utilization.

  • Support cost control initiatives by minimizing waste and rework.

  • Verify quantities executed for progress measurement.

  • Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance.

  • Report cost-impacting issues to the Project Manager.


5. Quality Management

  • Ensure all works comply with project specifications, approved shop drawings, applicable codes, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.

  • Ensure timely closure of NCRs, site observations, and punch list items.

  • Verify implementation of approved Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement on site.


6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.

  • Coordinate with HSE personnel to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented for identified safety issues.

  • Participate in safety meetings and site inspections.

  • Promote safe working practices among site personnel.


7. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.

  • Attend technical and progress meetings as required.

  • Follow up on consultant comments and client requirements.

  • Support maintaining positive client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.


8. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

  • Maintain accurate project records and technical documentation.

  • Review subcontractor reports and execution records.

  • Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and project correspondence.

  • Support preparation of project close-out documents.


9. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.

  • Support preparation of commissioning documentation.

  • Coordinate final inspections with clients and consultants.

  • Assist in project handover and close-out activities.

  • Ensure submission of As-Built Drawings, Operation & Maintenance Manuals, warranties, and other close-out documents.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering:

Major: Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering


Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in project management and project execution.
