Role Description The Senior Electrical Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing electrical designs, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material take-offs in alignment with project specifications and standards. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues, support installation activities, and ensure timely delivery of design documents. The engineer analyzes electrical systems, updates as-built drawings, and participates in value engineering and cost optimization efforts. Daily tasks include technical review of vendor proposals, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, supporting project documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of technical office processes. Qualifications Strong proficiency in electrical design, drawing review, and preparation of technical submittals and material take-offs. Experience in coordination between technical office and site teams, including multidisciplinary collaboration and problem-solving. Solid understanding of relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in all deliverables. Competence in using engineering and drafting software (e.g., Auto CAD, electrical design tools) and standard office applications. Proven project documentation skills, including report writing, as-built documentation, and revision control. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Several years of experience in a similar technical office or design role within the construction or contracting industry. Strong analytical and organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Experience with large-scale building or infrastructure projects in Cairo or similar markets is an advantage.
