Role Description The MEP BIM Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, responsible for leading and overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Building Information Modeling activities. This role includes managing BIM workflows, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and ensuring accurate integration of MEP systems within architectural and structural designs. The MEP BIM Manager will supervise model setup, content development, clash detection, and model quality control, while aligning deliverables with project standards and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks involve working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and BIM technicians, providing technical guidance, enforcing best practices, and supporting virtual design processes. The role also includes training team members on BIM tools, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of digital design and coordination methodologies.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and BIM Coordination, including model management and clash detection. Candidates should possess skills in Virtual Design and Architecture, with the ability to integrate MEP models into broader design concepts. Candidates should possess expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including understanding of codes, standards, and construction practices. Candidates should possess proficiency with relevant BIM and design software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Auto CAD, and similar tools). Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field, and prior experience in MEP BIM management or coordination on complex projects is highly beneficial. Experience in project management, documentation standards, and quality assurance processes within consultancy or construction environments is an advantage.
