Mamo is looking for a Finance Manager to own and drive our day-to-day finance operations. We are looking for someone excited to own how finance works at Mamo and make it materially better as we grow. You ll lead the team and day-to-day finance operations, but you ll also be deeply involved with the numbers yourself. The ideal candidate would thrive on process, accuracy, and ownership. You re comfortable closing books and redesigning how the close happens; you re someone who would enjoy spotting a messy process and proactively rebuilding it. If you re passionate about clean systems, efficient processes and finding better ways to do things, then this role is for you.

What you'll do

• You stay on top of our cash and financial health, spotting risks early and acting on them.
• You build and run reporting, budgeting and analysis that helps leadership make better decisions.
• You ensure all our finance operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• You lead the monthly close process with your team and you work to make the process faster and more efficient.
• You oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• You design and own robust controls over vendor and other payables in a way that are lightweight and avoid causing bottlenecks.
• You ensure that VAT and regulatory filings happen accurately and in a timely manner.
• You own and manage auditor relationships and external finance partnerships.
• You architect and continuously improve our financial and accounting systems and process documentation.
• You own and strategically lead partnerships with our banks, insurers and other financial service providers.

Desired Candidate Profile

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of hands-on accounting or finance experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment such as fintech, a high-growth startup, or financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Deep working knowledge of accounting principles, month-end close processes, and financial controls.
• Experience working across multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Familiarity with UAE regulatory and tax requirements is a strong plus.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
• High attention to detail with a low tolerance for errors.
• A builder mindset: you don't just maintain processes you improve them.
• Comfortable operating independently with minimal direction in a fast-moving environment.
