Job Details

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and successfully delivering infrastructure construction projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
:
Plan, organize, and manage all phases of infrastructure construction projects. Develop project schedules, work programs, and resource allocation plans. Ensure projects are completed according to contract specifications and client requirements. Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary. Review contract documents, specifications, and drawings. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Manage variations, claims, extensions of time (EOT), and change orders. Coordinate with commercial and legal teams on contractual matters. Prepare and monitor project budgets. Track project costs, forecasts, and cash flow. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Approve procurement and subcontractor payments within authority limits. Lead project engineers, site managers, supervisors, and support staff. Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance. Conduct regular project meetings and progress reviews. Mentor and develop project personnel. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Provide regular progress reports and project updates. Resolve issues promptly to maintain project objectives. Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Evaluate subcontractor performance. Ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Monitor subcontractor compliance with project requirements. Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications. Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures. Coordinate inspections and testing activities. Address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions. Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities. Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and ensure mitigation measures are implemented. Investigate incidents and implement preventive actions. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor project constraints affecting schedule, cost, and quality. Escalate significant risks to senior management. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Monitor project KPIs. Present project status to management and clients. Maintain accurate project documentatio
n.
Qualificatio
ns:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred. Professional Engineer registration is an advant
age.
Experi
ence:
8–15 years of experience in infrastructure construction. Minimum 5 years of experience managing large infrastructure projects. Experience in roads, bridges, drainage, utilities, earthworks, airports, rail, or similar civil infrastructure projects. Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontra
ctors.
Required
Skills:
Strong project planning and scheduling skills (Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project). Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong contract administration knowledge (FIDIC experience preferred). Budgeting and cost control expertise. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
