Role Description The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria. This role is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repair activities on MEP equipment and systems, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinating with operations and project teams to schedule maintenance work. The engineer will document maintenance activities, update equipment records, and support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and safety practices. The role also involves collaborating with other disciplines to resolve technical issues and support project delivery as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to ensure efficient troubleshooting and restoration of mechanical systems. Candidates should have solid experience in Maintenance Engineering and Mechanical Maintenance for MEP-related equipment and building services. Candidates should be skilled in Preventive Maintenance, including planning, scheduling, and executing routine inspections and servicing. Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field are preferred. Knowledge of MEP systems, technical drawings, and maintenance management practices is beneficial. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards are required. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams are important. Previous experience in contracting, facilities management, or industrial maintenance in Alexandria or similar environments is an advantage.
